MATERI PRESENTASI BAHASA INGGRIS MENGENAI HOW TO BE A GOOD SECRETARY



Assalamualaikum, wr.wb. Thank you for the opportunity. Good morning ladys and gentleman. Here I will present about “How To Be A Good Secretary”. Before I continue, let me to introduce my self. My name is Erni Lestari. Test number 03-101-198-3. From class twelve office administration one.

A.    Secretary. What you know where the word of secretary come from? I think just a little person know where is the word of secretary come from. Oke secretary, the term comes from the Latin secretary is Secretum. And from English is secret. So the Secretary is the person who entrusted to keep a secret in carrying out the work or do not need to be known by others or employees.
B.     To Be A Good Secretary has 4 requirements: That is Knowledge, skill & technic, personality, pratice. Here I will explain:
1.      Knowledge. We can see at the picture. That knowledge for a person much of kind, but for secretary knowledge just have two kind, that it first
a.       General Knowledge
With general knowledge a secretary can lift the name of the company. Example about general knowledge:
1)      Master and understand Indonesian and foreign languages in orally or in writing.
2)      Knowledge of the mission, functions, tasks, organizational structure, and composition of personnel.
3)      Knowledge of correspondence and archive storage system.
b.      Special knowledge
The meaning of special knowledge is the secretary must knows or understands the things of which the secretary was working. If the secretary works at the company's that line of business rental apartments, then the secretary must master the science of the apartment.
2.      Skill and technic
Skills and tehnic of secretary can support their in work, skills and technic for a secretary is first:
a.       Able about the correspondence and telephone in send or receive a letter or a calling
b.      Able to use Indonesian and foreign language in writing or speaking
c.       Understand about archive storage system
d.      Stenography, with stenography the secretary can write faster.
3.      Personality
Personality that include: attractive appearance and good, can be trusted, have a good memory, sympathetic. Simpathetic with leaders, outsiders or another employmeent is important to be a good secretary.
4.      Practice
To be a good secretary should train themselves to become secretary that full of responsibility, must able to work independently, to work without supervision, and able supervise themselves.
C.     Conclusion
Ability and technical skills must be absolutely owned by a good secretary to all fields of science. To be a good secretary must able to work independently, to work without supervision, and has committed to the task.
